Description
The STI171 is a two-channel turbine-speed interface intended particularly for cogwheels with at least 100 teeth. It conditions and counts signals from variable-reluctance, measurement-alternator, two-wire powered or three-wire powered sensors and detects sensor-line failures in less than 150 µs.
Two isolated logic inputs select predivision factors of 1, 3 or 100, providing measurement ranges from 0.1 Hz to 40 kHz with precision better than 0.01%. The module supports an FT3100 speed-protection interface, occupies one C80-35 rack slot and provides separate status, bus-scan and line-failure indicators.
