Spare parts

ICSS is primarily a services provider, but we can also supply selected spare parts — essentially refurbished units that are no longer available from the original manufacturer.

ALSPA P320 parts are typically sourced from proven, operational systems or from project spare inventories following a control system upgrade. What “refurbished” means at ICSS is very concrete: each unit is processed and verified by an engineer who work with ALSPA hardware, firmware and networks on a daily basis — not simply cleaned, re-labelled and resold.

In our workshop, all age-sensitive components (for example electrolytic capacitors) are proactively replaced, and every module is subjected to a structured test campaign on dedicated ALSPA test benches. Each I/O channel is individually exercised and validated; additional checks (including thermal inspection under load) are performed when relevant.

For network devices such as FIP couplers (e.g., BEM340), we go beyond functional testing: although the hardware was manufactured by GE Fanuc, integration into ALSPA P320 relies on Alstom-specific firmware variants (e.g., dedicated FIP firmware for BEM modules, and S8000 coupler firmware for Ethernet). We therefore verify the exact firmware identity/revision and validate the module on an ALSPA/FIP network representative of real P320 installations, to ensure it is truly compatible — and not just a similar-looking part number that would fail to operate in an ALSPA environment.

A detailed test certificate is issued for each part, documenting the performed checks and results. While identical part numbers may sometimes be found elsewhere, ALSPA equipment can be highly configuration-dependent; our approach is designed to reduce integration risk and provide predictable, traceable performance in the field.

Refurbished parts supplied by ICSS are sold with a 3-year warranty.
